WHAT IS A DOULA?
A Doula is a support system for mom, baby and family. One who operates on compassion. A doula is someone who is not necessarily the guiding light, but the one who shows that the light resides with in you.
WHAT DOES A DOULA DO?
A Doula provides an array of services to expecting women/ families.
I specialize in the following:
-Birth Education
-Act on Compassion, Care and Strength
-Advocate for Mother
-Birth Planning
-Prenatal Yoga, Meditation
-Belly Casting
-Natural Laboring Techniques
-Support Before, During and After Labor
-Keeping a certain "Mood" to the labor room
-Taking Pictures of labor, and newborn
WHAT DOESNT A DOULA DO?
-Doulas are not primary care givers.
-Doulas do not make medical decisions.
-Doulas do not preform clinical tasks.
-Doulas do not give medical or clinical advise.
-Doulas do not speak to medical staff about health care.
